Looking for a Speaker for your company? How to choose and get the best

Inviting a Keynote Speaker to speak at your company is a trend these days. There is no company, large or small, that does not invite a Speaker to speak at one of their events. In fact, many companies do not limit themselves to one but invite several Speakers during the year. Whether it is a meeting reserved for the leadership or an event that involves the entire workforce of the company, whether it is conferences, training events, congresses, or team building, often the choice of the Speaker to invite turns out to be fundamental for the success of the day.

But Speakers have different characteristics and can be divided into two large categories: professional Speakers, specialized in this particular activity, able to offer a high level of entertainment for the public but who often chase each other providing somewhat banal and predictable speeches, sometimes even superficial; and the second category, which are successful professional Speakers in their field of work, with a good ability to speak in public and involve them, who bring their own successful experience in the form of stories, anecdotes, personal experiences.

The second category, the Speakers who live their own professional life and are not Speakers by profession, are always to be preferred. Why? Because they bring added value to the company, in the form of advice and direct experiences, and open new points of view that are often interesting and useful for the company. And then the occasional Speakers, who are not a professional, have already demonstrated that they have been successful in their field and successful people are always interesting to listen to, unlike a professional Speaker who only comes to entertain the audience with speeches that are more or less identical for everyone.

Among the occasional and successful Speakers, perhaps the best and most interesting that we have listened to is Davide Amante. Writer, film producer and indeed occasionally Speaker invited by companies, organizations, institutions and universities. Davide Amante has been named Best European Speaker for two consecutive years and listening to him you understand the reasons.

It’s not every day that you can listen to the point of view of a successful novelist (over a million copies internationally) especially when it comes to personal life, leadership and business. The experience is definitely interesting and worth doing at least once in your life, but what struck us most is the topic Davide Amante talks about, Innovation.

Innovation is the most fundamental and indispensable word for the competitiveness of today’s business. But often we have a partial or even wrong vision of what true Innovation is within a company. And on this aspect Davide Amante opens our eyes: “I try to delve into the theme of innovation to discover how this, first of all, begins within us, as a personal attitude. When we explore and understand this attitude, we can develop an unlimited capacity to strengthen teams and organizations. Understanding Innovation can really determine the success or failure of your personal and professional life.”

Davide Amante’s speech is structured for 40 minutes around the theme of Innovation, and shows us with original and direct experiences, how it is possible to bring innovation on a personal and professional level in a company, to the benefit of competitiveness and the entire company.
